Great Youtube Comment!

Wanted to share this awesome comment I just received on a youtube video I put up a few years ago of me performing “Wagon Wheel” by New River Gorge in West Virginia.

“my husband david ran across this video on youtube..and we live in GA but im from Beckley, anyway..after watching this video we found the Longpoint trail and hiked it…all bc of this video. it was amazing and ill [be] hiking it again…and again”

Ukulele and Nose Flute! My friends Kelly and Andy rock this Christmas Classic in the most amazing way possible.

Footage from the Inlet on the Jersey Shore, featuring Cort Farris on steel pan and drumset. This tune is a cover medley put together by Sublime from their album “40 oz to Freedom”. I am using an OC-3 Octave Pedal for the Bass, and also a Boomerang Loop Station to live loop myself (vocal percussion).

Early pre-dinner set at a highschool friend’s wedding at the Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden, VT. I’m playing a Godin Multiac Nylon SA Guitar into my Bose L1 Model 2 PA System, using a Boomerang III Loop Station, BOSS OC-3 Octave Pedal, and 3 Excedrin (thanks Joe) for the worst migraine I’ve literally ever had.

Video by the lovely folks at Saint Phalle Photo.

Near Fayettville, WV is New River Gorge and the third largest bridge of its type in the world. I had trail ran out to Long Point the previous day and upon seeing it decided I needed to hike out with my guitar and record something there; it was such a beautiful spot. Since I am mid-tour and have been through all of the states mentioned in the tune, I figured “Wagon Wheel” was appropriate, especially when finished off with a touch of “Country Roads” towards the end (I was in West Virginia after all). Hope you enjoy this little solo acoustic version of this beautiful song. One fly was harmed in the making of this video.

I am playing a Taylor 412-ce, and filming using a Kodak ZI-8 (multiple video takes synced to a master audio take). All filming and editing by me, Ben Hammond. Visit http://www.benhammondmusic.com for more info, gigs and free mp3s. Please also view my Youtube profile for more videos. Thanks mama.
